Malvino finished his B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Santa Clara Summa Cum Laude in the year 1959. He has also served as an electronics technician for the U.S Navy from the year 1950 to 1954. He completed his MSEE from San Jose State University (1964), followed by a doctoral degree from Stanford University (1970), studying Electrical Engineering. Till date, Malvino has authored over 10 textbooks, which have been sold in more than 20 languages, having over 108 editions. He is also a part of the Board of
Directors at Research Frontiers Incorporated.
David J. Bates currently serves as a lecturer at Western Wisconsin Technical College, La Crosse, Wisconsin, in the Electronic Technologies Department.
Bates holds a B.S. Degree in Industrial Education, along with an M.S Degree in Technical/Vocational Education. He currently serves as a certification administrator at ISCET.
