Introduction: | The Department of Science Education was established in 1988. The programmes and courses of the department are mainly focused on education and training of science and maths teachers. Presently the department offers specialized courses in science education. Presently the department offers specialized courses in science education at different levels. Specialized courses provide conceptual framework and insight into the teaching of science. The department also offers MEd, MPhil and PhD programs in science education. . |
Admission Requirement: | Graduate holding MS/MPhil in the relevant area or equival- ent with GPA 3.00/Ist Division will be eligible for admission in PhD Programme. Test and Interview will be conducted by the department concerned. Candidate will apply for admission on prescribed form to the concerned chairman of the depa- rtment. If the candidate wishes to apply in more than one specialization, he/she has to apply separately for each speci- alization. Admission will be strictly on merit and on approved criteria. |
Selection Process: | Selection of the candidates will be made strictly on the basis of merit/criteria laid down by the Department/ University. |

Teaching Methodology: | The University allots Study Centre and Tutors for the Students to get guideline accordingly. A student has to secure passing marks in Assignments as well as in final exams to successfully complete concerned Educational Programme. |
